With todays 2-0 win against the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Flyers will prepare for a first round playoff fight with the Washington Capitals. The is great for the Flyers, they are playing the most inexperienced team going into the playoffs, and should take advantage of it. I am expecting the Capitals to do just like the Thrashers did last year. They do have a good team, but they have absolutely no playoff experience, which means I will be really upset if I don’t see the Flyers in the second round.

Analysis

I thought todays game was really exciting. Pens fans can’t use the fact that they they  didn’t have Crosby, because we didn’t have Briere, or Gagne. Upshall played an amazing game, not because he scored the game winner, but because he leveled the much bigger Hal Gill. He would have been a definite monster from Pierre McGuire.

I think the Penguins wanted to loose, because anyone would rather play an injury filled Senators team, than a Philadelphia Flyers team that will beat the shit out of you in the first round.
